Dragon Scales and Faerie Tales
Once upon a time is now…

A show for the child in all of us . . . With elements such as audience participation, tricks and humor, our show is a memorable experience for adults and children alike. Young ones are enchanted by seeing the dragon come to life and many depart truly believing that the dragon is real. Each performance ends with a meet and greet, so everyone who wishes to meet the dragon and faerie can have a chance to do so. This gives our performers an opportunity to interact one on one with the children, who will leave your event with memories that will last a lifetime.

Dragon Scales and Faerie Tales
is a magical telling of the birth of a real "live" baby dragon. With the support of its loving faerie, the 8-foot dragon hatches from an extraordinary large golden egg. Together, the beautiful faerie and the audience welcome the dragon, then name, feed, and teach him to talk. At the show's conclusion, the kind faerie enlists the audience's help to tell the dragon a bedtime story involving the dragons search for a friend and his difficulty in being accepted by the local villagers. The story teaches the moral of not fearing the unknown or those who are different. Afterwards, the children in the audience are delighted with the opportunity to personally hug and kiss the dragon goodnight providing parents with a wonderful opportunity to photograph their child with the dragon and faerie.

Accipiter Enterprises presents a show entitled

 "Birds of the Gauntlet"

Using hawks, falcons and performers in historic clothing from various time periods, ranging from the Middle Ages, Renaissance, and Colonial, usually as part of a period festival or faire.

The show consists of three distinct activities. First is the patron interaction, where birds and handlers are intermingled with patrons and participants of the event. The second activity is displaying of the birds in a designated area or Mews. The third activity is a stage presentation demonstrating "free flight" and a simulated "hunt" with a lure, interspersed with an educational lecture. There is ample opportunities for patrons to ask questions and take photographs with the birds.

The Tortuga Twins

Jef Hall and Riki Robinson at one of the performer workshops in Sarasota that the duo began kicking around ideas for their new Renaissance characters. They would become a pair of gypsy brothers in search of their lost princess. Twins even, since at the time many people confused them for each other. And the name – made up from something sounding both ethnic and easy on the ears. The pun “ Tortuga ” was taken from an underground comic book named Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles with Jef taking the cartoon hero's name of Donatello – a name he would later change to D'Angelo – and Riki choosing Raphael for himself. Little did they know the hell they would go through when the comic book became a world-wide sensation. With the crux of their short skit being written at a fast-food restaurant near festival grounds, the two as yet untried entertainers were ready to go.

In January of 1990, tragedy struck the Hall house when Jef's mother developed a severe illness. He had to forego the Tortugas' first foray into an “away show” in the Florida Keys , and would remain predominantly rooted at home for many years to come. Ronn Bauman and his  performing renaissance character named Scaramouche. Because of Ronn's developing friendship with both Riki and Jef, and his growing proficiency with his own show, he was invited to stand in for Jef in the Keys. It was soon after that Ronn approached Riki about taking the Tortuga Twins show on the road with him as a trio.

With the addition of two, wildly successful TortugaPalooza shows, a Broadway style event, and now five DVDs released they have proven to be an entertainment powerhouse.

And Yes they do "do" weddings, birthdays and Bar mitzvahs if the price is right!

The Enchanted Wagon

What is The Enchanted Wagon?
The Enchanted Wagon is a charming giant box turtle with a gypsy wagon on its back. Driven by a hedge hog, this interactive strolling performance is run by one puppeteer inside and an attendant outside for crowd control.

What does it do?
The turtle moves about the fair then stops, pulls in its head and legs, and that's when the fun begins! Windows, doors and curtains open as different puppets entertain the crowd. There are also all sorts of interactive features for the patrons to play with. After a time the turtle will wake up and move on to another spot.

Following is a partial list of the displays and entertaining activities that are secreted inside The Enchanted Wagon.
